This item enables channel bonding of up to four downstream channels and four upstream channels, which allows an operator to offer their customers advanced multimedia services with data rates of well over 100Mbps in each direction. The Motorola modem provides an economic option for providing ultra-broadband services, with four times the current maximum user data throughput. It approximates 160Mbps in DOCSIS mode and 195Mbps in EuroDOCSIS mode, without the need for hybrid fiber coax (HFC) plant upgrade. Maximizing an operator's current infrastructure investment, the SURFboard modem can be deployed without service interruption. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 for added versatility. An internal low-pass fitler eliminates MoCA signal overload.
